2BHK houses for Journalists in one year: Indrakaran

Hyderabad, June 13 (NSS): Housing & Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today said the State government will provide land and double bedroom housing facility to all journalists in the State in one year.

Participating at a program organised by local journalists in Laxettipet in Mancherial district on Wednesday, Indrakaran, after receiving a memorandum from journalists on their issues, assured to provide housing facility to all the journalists working in several newspapers and electronic media of in Telangana. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was providing health cards to the journalists working selflessly and for the cause of the society

The State Government was determined to keep its promise of giving two bedroom housing facility and land to the scribes in the State, Indrakaran Reddy said. It may be said here that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had earlier made repeated statements of providing housing facility to the journalists. He said the KCR Government has started wellness centers for the benefit of the journalists for health check-up.

Some more wellness centers will be opened in all other districts and important towns. The journalists are being given accreditation cards, health cards and bus passes. He exhorted the journalists to compete for the best Journalists award and work selflessly for the society. The government and journalists can together develop the State, he averred.
