Lawyers want circular on court fee payment withdrawn

Hyderabad, June 9 (NSS): Indian Association of Lawyers (IAL) Telangana State meeting was held today under the leadership of Potla Madhavarao at Rajabahadur Gour Hall in Maqdhoom Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, IAL State general secretary Bommagani Prabhakar demanded that the government withdraw the circular no.1191/OS 2017 immediately which was released with regard to court fee. He said at least four days time was being taken to pay Court fee through e-Challan leading to delay. Due to the circular, the advocates were running around e-Seva centers, banks and treasuries and facing a lot of troubles and hence the government should withdraw the circular.

He also demanded that the government allow paying Court fee through old system. He asked the State government to provide bank and treasury facilities within the Court premises. He also demanded that the Centre set up special High Court for Telangana State and fill all the vacant posts in the judiciary at all levels. He also demanded that the State government fill the vacant posts in the High Court, District and Subordinate Courts immediately.

IAL State president Potla Madhava Rao demanded that the State government initiate steps for the welfare of advocates. IAL leaders MK Ratnam, AV Krishna Rao, Dussa Janardhan, Challa Srinivas Reddy, KVL Jayasrinivas, P Ramulu, Uday Shankar, Srinivas, Prabhakar, Karingula Rammurthy, Raji Reddy, Venkateshwara Rao and others participated in the meeting.
