Hyderabad, June 12 (NSS): Finding fault with the Irrigation Minister T Harisha Rao for stating that the Congress party was obstructing the irrigations projects, TPCC treasurer Guduru Narayana Reddy made it clear that the Congress party’s demand was to implement Land Acquisition Act-2013 whenever it acquires land from the farmers.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Guduru questioned the state government to tell as to why it was constructing underground pump house when there was a chance to construct the open cut pump house in Palamuru-Rangareddy project. Asking Harish Rao to answer in this regard, Guduru alleged that Rs.1000 crore corruption has taken place in underground construction. He said that Harish’s allegations were false and said that the Harish was indulging in Gobles publicity. He suggested Harish Rao to stop levelling allegations against TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and warned that the Congress party would teach a fitting lesson in case Harish failed to stop criticism against Uttam.

He asked Harish Rao to tell whether extending support by his family in land acquisition of for the sake of construction of Baswapur Reservoir, which was part of Kaleswaram project, was comes under obstructing the projects. Guduru said that their family has given 120 acres of land for the sake of Baswapur Reservoir.
