Vijayawada, June 2 (NSS): Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer participated as chief guest at the 10th Telangana Formation Day celebrations held at Darbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Abdul Nazeer said Telangana State has been for a long time, a meeting place of diverse languages and cultures and a best example of India’s composite culture, pluralism and inclusiveness and that the region is well-known for its Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb.
“Celebration of occasions like the Telangana Formation Day, brings people of different States together and gives us an opportunity to know each other in a better perspective”, said the Governor. He said that ‘Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat’ program aims to forge a strong relationship and bonding among all the people of the country, and promote mutual understanding between different States and Union Territories, through the concept of oneness and enrich the spirit of national integration.
N. Chandana, S. Bhanu Santoshi, K. Bhagya Suseela and Ch. Sravya enthralled the audience with Bathukamma dance performance. Nitya rendered Annamacharya Keertana, while P. Aparna, Anantha Sriya, Preran, P. Bhavya, Megha Lara, students from Telangana studying in various educational institutions in and around Vijayawada, spoke on the occasion and shared their experiences. Officers and staff members of Raj Bhavan also attended the program. (NSS)
