1st Indomie-PBL-JOB Open Non-Rated Basketball starts today

Author: ARAB NEWSFri, 2017-05-26 19:05ID: 1495731401560564900JEDDAH: Finally, a new group of basketball organizers unveil their season-opening event, 1st Indomie-PBL-JOB Open Non-Rated Invitational Basketball Tournament, on Friday at the Saudi Champion Academy stadium on Television Street, Ghulil District on the outskirts of Jeddah.Assembly time is at 6 p.m. prior to the opening ceremony which will be highlighted by the parade of teams vying for honors in three categories namely Intercompany Bonafide, Barkadahan and 5-10 and Below.The Pinoy Basketball League-Jeddah Overseas Basketbolista (PBL-JOB) tournament is being held with the theme “Retainers of the Truth” and will last up to Aug. 25, according to organizers Master Nestor Suliva and Jon Azupardo, the chairman and commissioner respectively of PBL-JOB.With Suliva and Azupardo running the show are Secretary-general Ana Tamesis, Janah Alyssa Azupardo, Athan Jared Azupardo, Elizabeth De Leon Azupardo, Rolando Venterez, Jay Sipat, Erick Bautista and Joemar San Jose.To handle the officiating is the IROG (Industrial Referees Officiating Group) chaired by Dick Cruz with Ernie Adao as vice chairman. The members include Abril Mabarit, Ancet Lerio, Andy Batalon and Cristone Gonzales.Games will be played Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 12 midnight. The PBL-JOB morning league games are scheduled on the same days from 4:30 a.m. to 12 noon.This tournament is sponsored by Pinehill Arabia Food Limited, sole distributor of Indomie cup noodles in the Kingdom, DT Sports/AND1, Sky Freight Forwarders, Unified Guardians Brotherhood International (UGBI), Philippine Arborkaido Martial Arts Club (PAMAC) International, Philippine Martial Arts Sports Association (PHILMASA), and Mohamed Bayoumi.
