(RAHNUMA) The Consulate General of I. R. Of Afghanistan at Hyderabad met with the local media today.
The Consul General Mr. Muhammad Suleman Kakar, Vice Consul General Mr. Sayed Mohammad Ibrahimkhil, CD Foundation Founder, and Director Ms. Fareena Ali Khan were present at the meet.
The Consulate here in Hyderabad was opened in January 2020 for Consular Services in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The bilateral relations between Afghanistan and India have remained strong and friendly over the decades. India and Afghanistan had been historical neighbors as well.
“We highly value our bilateral relations and remain committed to further expanding political and economic ties between the two brotherly countries,” said the CG in a written statement to the press.
“We are a great nation with natural resources, agriculture, and abundant infrastructure in energy, tourism, communication, education, transport,, and health. We look forward to evening more trade relations with India in this field and looking forward to promoting and encourage businessmen.”
India has been very supportive esp. in enhancing education for our youth.
In Osmania University alone, there are over 200 Afghan students studying, and many more all over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
The Consulate said it looks forward to a strong relationship on the education and training front as well with India.
In the near future, the Consulate announced it is planning to organize an Afghan Food Festival in coordination with Ms. Charu Das, from CD Foundation who has been very encouraging and supportive to promote Indo-Afghan Food and Culture.
“We are really happy, and glad for the support from India and looking forward for more collaborative events” continued the Consulate General.
The Consulate also plans another meeting once the food festival dates are finalized it said, and is looking forward to local support from the press, the people, and businesses.
