Arab coalition: Houthis hit Saudi oil tanker in Red Sea

The Saudi-led Arab coalition said Houthi militia on Wednesday targeted a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, causing slight damage, state TV Al-Ekhbariya reported.

The oil tanker suffered minor damage and the militia almost caused an environmental disaster, the coalition said.

The Houthi militia continue to threaten navigation in the Red Sea, the coalition added.

Earlier this year the Houthis attempted a similar attack on a Saudi oil tanker in April and later in June on fishing vessels. In the latter boats belonging to Houthi militia were captured with rocket-propelled grenades and missiles onboard.
