Hyderabad, June 18 (NSS): Welfare Minister K Eshwar today said that the government is increasing the funds for welfare hostels in Telangana state. He informed that the students in hostels will now get increased amounts and facilities. The government has taken a decision to hike the stipend amount from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000 he said and instructed officials to issue related orders immediately. The amount was hiked as the prices of essentials are on rise the minister said.
The Government also taken a decision to improve security at the hostels by fitting up cc cameras he said. Eshwar asked the officials to take immediate measures to ensure that all the hostels get CC Cameras. The officials were instructed to submit proposals in this regard. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for providing better quality education to the hostel students. The hostels will get each Rs 20000 a year for celebrating anniversary he said and asked the officials to take steps.(NSS)
