BJP celebrated Bathukamma festival because of KCR: Kavitha

Hyderabad, Sept.27 (NSS): TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has welcomed the Bharatiya Janata Party for celebrating the Bathukamma festival in New Delhi and said that all credits will go to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who revived the glory of Telangana culture and festivals.

The Bathukamma celebrations were held at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday evening. Kavitha along with Minister Satyavathi Rathod, MLA Padma Devender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi, Corporators and a large number of women took part in the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Kavitha said that as TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was planning to enter the national politics, the BJP leaders all of sudden woke up from the sleep and hurriedly organised the Bathukamma celebrations at India Gate in New Delhi.

“Anyhow, the BJP leaders have recognised the importance of Telangana culture and it’s festivals after the formation of Telangana State seven years ago. All credits go to KCR. Because of the TRS, the BJP leaders are celebrating the Bathukamma festival,” she pointed out.
