10 day Afghan Food & Cultural Festival in Hyderabad from April 1

Hyderabad, March 18 (RAHNUMA): The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Hyderabad is organizing a 10-day Afghan Food & Cultural Festival as a part of the Consulate’s plans to cement Indo-Afghan relations.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, Consul General Muhammed Suleman Kakar said that the Afghan food cultural festival will start from 1st April and will continue till 10th April 2021 at Hotel Trident, Hitech City, in Hyderabad.

The gala inauguration on 1st April will highlight Afghanistan’s beauty, culture, music, colors, and food. We have also scheduled four major trade meets during the ten-day festival.

On 3rd April- Filmmakers meet with famous filmmaker Sara Karimi from Kabul.

On 6th April- The buyer/seller meets for Dry fruits/tea/commodity and handcrafts (B2B meetings). The Consulate invites dry fruit businessmen, Buyers, from South India to come and meet Dry Fruit traders from Afghanistan. There are also other in-demand popular commodities exported from Afghanistan like Hiking. Fresh Fruits, Saffron, and many more.

On 7th April- workshop on Import/Export between India and Afghanistan. The Consulate invites entrepreneurs to attend the workshop and we also want to let them know that Afghanistan is a land of opportunities and investment.

8th April- B2B meeting for Healthcare/Pharmacy/Agribusiness/Infrastructure, The Consulate invites all corporates and businessmen from these fields to come and attend the business meet and connect to the Consulate office for an invitation.

All ten days will be a display of Afghanistan food, handicrafts, carpets, dry fruits, and many more. Afghanistan is a land of opportunities and investment.

India and Afghanistan have a strong relationship based on historical and cultural links, India played a significant role in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Afghanistan. The bilateral relations between India and Afghanistan remained strong and friendly over the decades, the Consul General said.
