Hyderabad, Jan.10 (NSS): Chief Minister and YSRCP supreme YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday appeared before the Special CBI court in the city in connection with Disproportionate Assets case filed against him, his party colleague Vijaya Sai Reddy and several bureaucrats of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State.
Jagan took a special flight from the Gannavaram airport at Vijayawada and landed at Begumpet here to appear before the court. The case was under trial by the CBI court since the last eight years. Jagan today appeared before the court for the first time after becoming the Chief Minister. He appeared before the court on March 22 last year. Later, he filed a petition and pleaded with the court to allow him to appear before the court through his advocate. However, the court dismissed his petition and made it clear that Jagan should attend the court proceedings in person.
