
Hyderabad, Feb.4 (NSS): Ruling BRS party MLC K. Kavitha today said the State was being developed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao despite non-cooperation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the Centre. She said the vision and statesmanship of KCR were responsible for the development of the State. She also said Telangana had become a role model for other States of the country in the issue of development.
Kavita made these remarks while participating in a discussion on motion of thanks in the State legislative council. She said KCR was piloting the State on the path of development with his grit and determination. Referring to the address of President Droupadi Murmu in the joint session of parliament recently, she said the President had highlighted the status of the development of Telangana State in an excellent manner and added that the State was developed only because of the leadership of CM KCR.
Kavitha alleged that the Opposition parties in the State were also creating obstacles to the Chief Minister and added that she was proud of the CM as he led the State on the path of development despite the obstacles. She said that some 18 States of the country had visited the Telangana State and undertook an indepeth study of the welfare and development schemes of the KCR government.
Referring to the decision of Delhi and Punjab Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagvanth Mann to implement the Telangana government’s Kanti velugu program in their respective States, Kavitha said it was a matter of pride for the CM KCR and the State. Stating that the per capita income was being considered as a yardstick to measure the development of any State, she said the per capita income of the State had gone up from ₹124104 in the year 2014 to ₹317118 in the year 2022 and added that the rule of KCR had played an important role in increasing the per capita income.
Kavita said the mother mortality rate had come down from 92 to 43 per cent in the State under their party’s rule and added that KCR had strengthened the Anganwadi centres and Asha worker systems in Telangana and added that the State has 35,700 Anganwadi centres. She also said the CM KCR had increased the salaries of Asha workers to ₹13,650 and added that the Centre was paying only ₹2700 out of the total amount.
She urged the chairman of the Council Gutha Sukhender Reddy to hold the Kanti velugu camp on the premises of the Council. The Council chairman immediately agreed to hold it for the convenience of the MLCs.
