CM KCR holds reviews Coronavirus situation in Telangana

Hyderabad, April 18 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials concerned to continue implement methods for prevention of the Corona virus as it is and ensure that no one suffers due to hunger during the lockdown period in the State.

The CM on Saturday held a high-level review meeting on containment of spread of Corona virus, implementation of lockdown and others issues at Pragathi Bhavan here. The CM also discussed about the issues to bring before the Cabinet meeting to be held on Sunday. Medical and Health Minister Etela Rajender, Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao, City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretaries Shanta Kumari, Narsing Rao, Ramakrishna Rao, Kaloji Health University VC Karunakar Reddy and others participated.

“Corona is spreading in the State as well as in the country. Against this backdrop, the entire official machinery should be on high alert. Don’t neglect. Since Positive cases are on the rise in Hyderabad, have a strategic approach here. Administer Containments properly. Don’t allow anyone from those areas to come out under any circumstances. Be on alert in the areas where Corona positive patients are living. Plan strategies accordingly. The government is ready to conduct tests and give treatment to any number of patients,” the CM said.

“The Poor should not suffer due to lockdown and they should not face any difficulty. This is the reason why the government supplied rice and cash to the white ration cardholders. Identify daily wager workers if any and extend assistance to them. Agriculture programme should be done as it is. Collectors and public representatives should monitor the procurement Centres. All the department in government should be on alert to respond to any problem or offer any help to the needy,” the CM said.
