Hyderabad (Rahnuma) Former minister and Congress candidate from Bodhan Assembly constituency Sudarshan Reddy on Saturday said his party would win all the nine Assembly segments from Nizamabad district.
He said the people blessed their party in an expression of their anger against the ruling TRS party.
Commenting on the exit polls of different national news channels, Reddy said the Congress party was going to form the government in the State with a comfortable majority.
Congress candidate from Kamareddy Assembly seat Mohammad Ali Shabbir also expressed similar views.
He said the Congress would bag 70 to 80 seats and form government. He also said the Congress was going to win more seats than what former Congress leader Lagadapati Rajagopal had projected in his survey report. Noting that scores of eligible voters’ names could not figure in the voters’ list, he said the Election Commission did not take any action despite lodging several complaints with them.
Another former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who contested from Nalgonda Assembly segment, has said the People’s Front would form government disregarding the exit poll results. He also said he would win with a huge margin of votes as people of Nalgonda did not believe the ruling party, leaders. He also assured the people that they would implement all poll promises after forming government.
Another senior Congress leader Madhu Yaski Goud said they do not believe exit poll surveys but they gauged people’s pulse before plunging into election fray.
He also alleged that the ruling party leaders were attacking the rivals in fear of defeat in the elections.
TPCC working president Kusuma Kumar also said the exit polls of all national channels were proven wrong in case of Telugu States in the past.
