Hyderabad, October 27 (Rahnuma): Dr. Syedna Mufaddal saifuddin, the 53rd spiritual leader addressed the Majlis to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad PBUH at Muhammadii masjid at Redhills in Hyderabad on Sunday. Syedna inculcated values of truthfulness, humanity, tolerance and coexistence.
The Dawoodi Bohra are a sub group within the Mustaali, Ismaili Shia branch of Islam. Dr. Syedna Mufaddal saifuddin is the 2nd eldest son of the 52nd Dai Mohammed Burhanuddin. He succeeded to the office after his father, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, who passed away in 2014 and is the spiritual leader of 2.5 million people living in 100 countries.
The Bohra population in India is estimated to be around 500,000, with an equal number of diasporic members settled in various parts of the world.
