Hyderabad, Sept 18 (INN): A team of the Election Commission of India (ECI) will visit Telangana state from October 3 to review preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.
The ECI team will meet with recognized political parties at the national and state levels, as well as officials from surveillance departments such as Excise, Income Tax, GST, Transport, and bankers, to discuss measures to curb the flow of money, liquor, and free gifts during the election period.
The ECI team will also meet with the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana State, the nodal officers of the Central and State Police forces, and the election officers, SPs, and police commissioners of all the districts to review the district-wise election planning and arrangements.
On the third day of their visit, the CEC team will meet with the Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Director General of Police Anjani Kumar, and other high officials to review the overall election arrangements.
