Hyderabad, July 19 (INN): At least five people were arrested after residents of a village in Telangana’s Medak district tied officials of the Electricity Department to a pole while visiting the area to collect electricity bill payments. The incident took place at the Alladurgam Police Station in Medak on Saturday.
“We reached the spot immediately and released the officials,” the police said, adding that the officials had lodged a complaint.
“Based on this, the FIR has been registered against five people under multiple sections of the IPC. All of the accused have been arrested,” said Krishna Murthy, Deputy Police Superintendent of Medak.
