(RAHNUMA) Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based female entrepreneur Aliya Baig, CEO, Founder of Aliya Baig Academy of Makeup (ABAM) grabbed international beauty headlines this week becoming the 3rd Makeup Academy in Asia to be affiliated to the prestigious International Makeup Association (IMA – London).
IMA Head Beryl Bernard flew in from London to officiate the process for ABAM, and recognize Aliya Baig for her achievements.
The IMA affiliation ceremony was held as part of the ABAM event at De Surya Arena, Shamashabad.
The official accreditation for ABAM was done by IMA, London supremo Beryl Bernard, renowned celebrity makeup artist, and a well-known legend of the makeup and beauty fraternity.
IMA qualifications were aimed specifically for makeup artists. Awards were presented to top performers by Beryl Bernard at the ABAM event followed by their IMA certification.
A Bridal Show sponsored by Karishma Wedding Mall was also on the ABAM roster, performed by the students of 2021 and 2022 batches. The segment displayed its 2022/2023 wedding collection for the attendees.
The event included a dinner gala, awards ceremony, the IMA certification, and a bridal fashion show.
During the dinner gala, guests got a chance to hear about Aliya Baig’s story and vision for her company and academy.
Baig talked about her desire to always seek to disrupt her industry to be able to inspire more, and her event which included Hijabi models as well in its fashion show did just that.
Overall, clients we spoke with said Baig’s approach in both her makeup techniques, as well as her methods at ABAM merges modernity with Hyderabadi tradition.
