Hyderabad, Sept 22 (INN): Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar handed over a cheque of Rs. 4 lakhs from his own funds to the electricity authorities for the electricity required for Ganesh Mandapams in Karimnagar constituency.
On Friday, the minister held a meeting with electricity officials at the Collector’s office to discuss the provision of electricity facilities to Vinayaka mandapams. He then handed over the cheque.
The minister has been organizing the program with his own funds for the past few years. He reminded everyone that he pays the electricity bills for Vinayaka Chavithi Navrath Utsavs every year in the Karimnagar constituency.
The minister advised the authorities to take proper measures to prevent electrical accidents at Ganesh Pandals. He said that all measures are being taken to celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi festival peacefully. He also made it clear that the management of Vinayaka Mantapa should cooperate with the electricity authorities.
