Guv prays Lord Balaji at Tirumala

Tirumala, June 9 (NSS): Governor ESL Narasimhan offered prayers to Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala on Sunday morning.

Earlier, as per the temple traditions, the Governor first prayed Sri Varaha Swamy temple and upon his arrival at Mahadwaram, Narasimhan was offered traditional Isthikaphal welcome by the temple priests and given warm reception by TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju. Later, Veda pundits rendered Vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam. The EO presented the first citizen of the State with Theertha Prasadams and a laminated photo of Lord.

Kishan Reddy

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy also offered prayers in Tirumala temple on Sunday morning. On his arrival at Mahadwaram, Reddy was given warm reception and rendered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic scholars in Ranganayakula Mandapam. After the Asirvachanam, he was offered teertha prasadams and presented with lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara by Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Goutam Sawang

AP Director General of Police Damodar Goutam Sawang also offered prayers to the Lord Venkateswara on his maiden visit to Tirumala after assuming office on Sunday morning during break darshan. On his arrival at Sri Vari Temple, the priests and officials welcomed the DGP. After darshan of the Lord, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju presented Sri Vari Prasadam, Theertha Prasadams and a laminated photo of Lord Balaji. Veda pundits of the temple blessed him with Vedic Hymns at Ranganayakula Mandapam.

NHRC chairman offers prayers at Tirumala

National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Justice HL Dattu today offered prayers in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. On his arrival at the temple, he was accorded a warm welcome by TTD Tirumala Joint Executive Officer KS Sreenivasa Raju at Mahadwaram.     After offering prayers, Justice HL Dattu was rendered Vedasirvachanam by the Vedic pundits in Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later he was presented with the Silk Vastrams, Prasadam, Teertham and lamination of Lord Venkateswara by Tirumala JEO. (NSS)
