Harish lashes out at Cong jibe

Hyderabad, April.19 (NSS): Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today lashed out at the Congress leaders for telling lies on Bhadrachalam development and other programs. He took serious exception to the comments that the TRS Government is ignoring Bhadrachalam town and its development including temple.

Addressing a press conference at his Siddipet residence, Harish condemned the comments as baseless. Harish Rao charged that the congress is making comments against government for political  mileage. The minister criticised TPCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy for  making bankrupt charges that the TRS Government is a curse to the farmers in the state of Telangana. It is the Congress which  favoured national status to Polavaram project and now making false charges against the TRS. The Congress has no right to make such comments as they supported the  earlier government to give irrigation waters to Andhra at the cost of Telangana. The Congress also gave support to the BJP for its bill to transfer seven  mandals to Andhra,  he charged. Rao also accused the opposition of trying to malign the image of the government. He wondered as to why the Congress is opposing all the schemes including Rythu Bandhu to give Rs 4000 per acre.

Besides waiving off Rs 17000 crop loans the TRS Government has taken a significant decision to help the farmers against the loans by offering them financial assistance. We have constructed godowns of 17000 lakh metric tons capacity in the state and using PD Act against the sale of fake seeds and fertilisers. With no other go,  the opposition is indulging in gobbles campaign,  he fumed. ‘We are giving top priority for development of temples including Bhadradri Rama and others’. The people will punish the Congress leaders for telling lies and carrying out misinformation campaign, he stated.(NSS)
