Hyderabad, June 15 (NSS): The High Court has served notices to the Telangana state Assembly and Law Secretary while dealing with the Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S A Sampath Kumar’s Contempt of the Court petition here on Friday
The Court asked Assembly Secretary and Law Secretary to submit a counter in this regard. Later, the Court adjourned the case to July 13.
It may be mentioned here that Komatireddy and Sampat approached the Court on expulsion of their memberships from the Assembly. The Court, after trail, directed the state government to restore the membership of Komatireddy and Sampath. Later, 12 TRS MLAs approached the Court challenging the Single Bench verdict.
The Division Bench of the High Court upheld the Single Bench verdict and dismissed the TRS MLAs petition. Later, the Congress MLAs met the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary asking him to restore two MLAs membership and warned that they will file Contempt of the Court petition if failed to respond on it. The expelled Congress MLAs approached the Court and filed Contempt of the Court petition. The Court served notices to Assembly Secretary Narasimha Charyulu and Law Secretary Niranjan Rao asking them to submit a counter on it before July 13
