Hyderabad: In a relief to vehicle users in Hyderabad, fuel prices have registered a steady drop for last five days with an average decline of around 10 to 20 paise a litre daily on both petrol and diesel.
The petrol and diesel prices on Monday were Rs.78.43 a litre and Rs.72.96 a litre respectively. Since October 1, fuel prices are witnessing a drop across all the petrol pumps in the city.
It was in the month of September, when fuel prices saw a sharp rise and pinched the pockets of common man. Though the fuel prices have remained far higher than what the common man used to pay, the consistent decline of fuel prices is giving much needed relief.
With petroleum companies announcing daily prices at 6 am, the prices of petrol and diesel have come down by 71 paise a litre and 55 paise a litre respectively in the last five days. According to Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association, fuel prices are very likely to dip further in the next two weeks.
