Jagan to take oath as AP CM on May 30

Hyderabad, May 24 (NSS): YSRCP supremo YS Jaganmohan Reddy is all set to take over as new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 30.

The officials concerned were busy making arrangements for his oath-taking ceremony. They have finalized the stage for oath taking at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium in Vijayawada.

It was being said that Jagan Mohan Reddy will take oath of the office of the Chief Minister between 11.40 am and 12 noon in the stadium, which was being spruced up for the occasion.

Jaganmohan Reddy reportedly directed Chief Secretary LV Surbamanyam to make all arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony keeping in view a large number of people and party leaders and workers likely to attend.

Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao called on Jagan and apprised him of the arrangements for the swearing-in program at the stadium. The State police wing appointed A Joshi, who was working in CMO security wing, as Chief Security Officer for the new Chief Minister.

The State police also provided additional security at the house of YSRCP chief in Tadepalli, which was being thronged by a large number of people and followers in the wake of massive victory of the YSRCP in the polls.

A special convoy of six vehicles was put in place for the new chief minister.  Similarly, personal security was also increased for Jaganmohan Reddy, who will take oath as Chief Minister on May 30. (NSS)
