Hyderabad, May 4 (NSS):Former minister and senior Congress leader K. Jana Reddy today called upon the party leaders and workers to make the public meeting of the party’s national leader Priyanka Gandhi a grand success.
Speaking to media persons in Nalgonda district, Jana Reddy asked the party leaders to mobilise huge number of people from Suryapet, Yadadri and Nalgonda districts for the public meeting. He made it clear that the program of Priyanka Gandhi was a party program and not a personal program.
Commenting on the ongoing padayatra of CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, he said the padayatra was going on successfully. He made it clear that no political party would exist in the country without the representation of weaker section leaders. He said all governments should work for the welfare of all the weaker sections of the country and warned that they would not be able to exist if they ignored the welfare of the weaker sections of the country.
Jana Reddy declined to comment on the non-participation of the party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in the CLP leader’s ongoing padayatra. He alleged that the ruling party had completely failed in providing irrigation water to the Nalgonda district and added that he was not hopeful of the ruling party providing water to the district in future. He termed the BRS government as inefficient which failed to complete Srisailam tunnel works. He said he could not take part in the padayatra of the CLP leader due to ill health. He said he would take part in the padayatra on any day. (NSS)
