Bhupalapally, Jan.22 (NSS): MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha demanded that the union government create a separate portfolio for the welfare of Backward Classes.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, she lambasted the Union government for implementing the anti-poor and pro corporate policies in the country.
Finding fault with the Centre for trying to privatise the Singareni Collieries in Telangana, Kavitha urged Singareni workers to unite and raise their voice against the forces that are trying to attack their livelihoods.
“It is very shameful that the Union Government has designed a programme like DIPAM to sell PSUs. The marginal communities today are at loss due to privatisation of PSUs,” Kavitha alleged. (NSS)
