KCR to meet Chandrababu on Federal Front

Hyderabad, April 29 : After a meeting with Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and his son MK Stalin in Chennai at the latter’s residence on his federal front proposal to bring about qualitative changes in national politics against the BJP and the Congress at the Centre, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today disclosed that he would also hold talks with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu.

Talking to waiting mediapersons outside the residence of Stalin, KCR said he was calling upon the southern States to join hands with his Federal Front proposal to see that the Centre should not command the States and not helping them to develop. KCR said Chandrababu Naidu was his close friend and would talk to him on the need for forming Federal Front.

“I will invite Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders for the Third Front for transforming the country into a flourishing and robust economic force in the world”, KCR said.

The Telangana Chief Minister said the Congress and the BJP Governments have failed for 70 years to meet the expectations of the people.

To make India a true federal country, the States should develop in a competitive spirit which has been lacking for the past seven decades”, he pointed out. “Education, Health, drinking water and several other issues were left unresolved by these two national parties.

I discussed with Stalini and Karunanidhi on the federal front, Centre and State relations and other issues”, he added.

KCR observed that the  prevailing situation in the country was not helpful for national development and the future will decide on the FF. “The Media only launched publicity on Federal Front and we did not tell them on its formation.

I have already spoken to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee and others on the need for change at national politics”, he said.

Arguing that the Centre should focus on foreign affairs only, KCR said Japan has developed in less time while the world’s largest democracy was lagging behind in many sectors.

He also said the Telangana government has launched several stupendous schemes, took up land records cleansing drive and programs and launching Rythu Bandhu scheme soon to give Rs 8000 per acre to farmers in the State. I also invited Stalin for the launch of Rythu Bandhu scheme”, he added.
