Kuwait emir calls on youth to build country through unique efforts, creative energy

KUWAIT CITY (Rahnuma) The Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday called on the youth to continue their approach in building the country through unique efforts and creative energy, bearing in mind the necessity of shouldering responsibility through national unity and cooperation.

The emir made the remarks at the closing ceremony of the youth project “Kuwait is Proud” held at Bayan Palace, saying that their efforts will help elevate the country’s status.

In his speech, the emir announced the establishment of “Kuwait center for national creativity,” an entity aimed at supporting the youth creative outputs and transforming them into economic projects in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.

An award ceremony was also held by the emir for 2019 Kuwait Youth Excellence and Creativity Award winners.

The youth project “Kuwait is Proud” from Jan. 21 to March 13 is a part of the Kuwaiti National Youth Project.

The National Youth Project was initiated in 2012 to engage Kuwaiti youth as key participants in youth development.

Kuwait Vision 2035 is a national development plan designed to introduce a change in Kuwait’s oil-reliant economic structure and transform the oil-rich Gulf state into a trade and financial hub by 2035. The strategic plan involves over 160 projects and invites foreign investment.
