RIYADH (Rahnuma): Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, at a meeting of the regional council, stressed the need to improve the performance of government sectors to improve the quality of life and development in the city’s residential neighborhoods.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal. Prince Faisal urged all service sectors to complete necessary infrastructure improvements in neighborhoods, especially those suffering from deficiencies in public services.
He said the continuation of the status quo in some of these neighborhoods is unacceptable, and there must be transparency and serious, continuous work to satisfy beneficiaries.
Prince Faisal ordered the urgent formation of a committee to conduct a full survey of neighborhoods in western Madinah as a first stage, and to address perceived deficiencies of streets to achieve smooth traffic flow.
He directed the Madinah Development Authority to strengthen the follow-up of nonperforming projects, and to provide the necessary support to government agencies to address problems with those projects.
At the meeting, the regional council examined the reasons behind the poor performance of some projects.
