Hyderabad, Feb.8 (NSS): Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Sathyavathi Rathod today said the Medaram biennial Jathara was a grand success. Some 100 acres will be procured to develop Medaram Jathara area as a permanent tourist spot with all facilities they informed.
Talking to mediapersons at the Jathara site, the ministers said coordinated efforts of all departments proved handy for the success of the four-day festival. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has monitored and reviewed the arrangements for the devotees. As per KCR plan, this area will be developed into a noted tourist spot. Even the BJP leaders appreciated the facilities made, they claimed. They also said the Media played a key role in this regard as there was no inconvenience to devotees during the Jathara. They urged the Centre to accord national festival status to Medaram Jathara. They also sought people’s support for the demand to be achieved.
