MLC Kavitha welcomes Congress party’ decision in support of Women’s Reservation Bill

Hyderabad, Sept.17 (NSS): MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has welcomed the Congress party’s decision to extend the support of the Women’s Reservation Bill.

During the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting which was held in Hyderabad   for two days on September 16 and 17, the grand old party passed a resolution demanding the union government that the Women’s Reservation Bill must be passed  in the upcoming special session of Parliament.

Welcoming the CWC decision, BRS MLC Kavitha expressed hope that the Congress party would maintain the same spirit in the upcoming parliament session to exert pressure on the ruling party to introduce and pass the bill.

Taking to X (Twitter) on Sunday, Kavitha said that while the delay in passing the Women’s Reservation Bill was disappointing, it was welcoming to see the Congress Party addressing the issue through the CWC resolution.

“I hope the Congress Party will maintain the same spirit in the upcoming parliament session to exert pressure on the ruling party to introduce and pass the bill. Let’s hope for swift action and real progress towards gender equality,” Kavitha added. (NSS)
