Nowhera Shaik to Challenge AIMIM President in Hyderabad Lok Sabha Seat, Pledges Transformation

Hyderabad, November 21: All India Mahila Empowerment Party Chief, Nowhera Shaik, has announced her intention to contest against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President, Asaduddin Owaisi, for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections, expressing confidence in securing voters’ support.

Shaik aims to transform “Old Hyderabad” into “Gold Hyderabad” if elected, unveiling promises focused on infrastructural development and women’s empowerment. She emphasized addressing issues such as the cleaning of dirty lanes and clogged drains that have plagued parts of the Old City. Alleging a lack of significant development in the area, Shaik pledged to bring in necessary funds for infrastructure improvement.

Additionally, Shaik vowed to implement empowering schemes specifically designed for women, aiming to uplift their status and opportunities within the community. Criticizing Owaisi for purportedly insufficient efforts in fostering development despite multiple victories in the Lok Sabha seat, Shaik positions herself as an alternative promising transformative change.

Her candidacy sets the stage for a potentially competitive electoral battle in Hyderabad, as Shaik’s promises to revamp infrastructure and empower women contrast with the incumbent’s track record. As the election season approaches, the contest for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat is poised to capture attention and scrutiny, underscoring the dynamics of representation and promises for development in the Old City.
