
Hyderabad, March 25 (NSS): Minister for Health T Harish Rao has directed the officials concerned to speed up the works of nine new medical colleges being constructed at various places across the Telangana State.
Minister Harish Rao held a review meeting with officials at MCR HRD Institute here on Saturday and reviewed over the progress of works related to the medical colleges.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Harish Rao said that as part of setting up nine new medical colleges, the State government had started a recruitment drive to fill up the posts at various levels.
” As part of the recruitment drive, the promotions were already given to 67 persons. While the posting orders for 210 associate professor posts will be issued in next ten days, the appointment of 1,442 assistant professors have reached the final stage and the merit list in this regard will be released in next three days,” Harish Rao said.
The Minister also informed that another meeting would be held with Ministers, MLAs, district collectors and engineers in their respective districts on March 28 to review the progress of new hospital works.
The officials were directed to conduct a field visit to look at the progress of works at the grassroots level and steps should be taken to complete the works in a stipulated period.
