Owaisi slams Mamata Banerjee for criticizing MIM

Hyderabad, Nov.19 (NSS): AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday attacked Trinamool Congress president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for making critical comments about his political party. He alleged that Mamata had accepted the fact that his party was emerging as a dominant force in West Bengal politics and leveling false allegations against him and his political party.

Referring to the statement of Mamata Banerjee, Owaisi asked the West Bengal chief Minister as to how the BJP, which only had two MP seats before 2014 Lok Sabha elections has 18 MPs in her State now. He wondered whether it was not the failure of Mamata Banerjee government that the BJP got so many MP seats in her State.

It may be mentioned here that Mamata Banerjee leveled allegations against the MIM without taking the name of the party and its president directly while addressing a rally at Cooch Behar of Bihar State. Addressing a public meeting, Mamata had alleged that the Hyderabad-based right-wing political party, was trying to create differences among the people of the country. She requested the Muslims not to fall a prey to the provocative statements of the Hyderabad-based political party.
