Palestinian pilgrims pay tribute to Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH (Rahnuma): Palestinian pilgrims returning to camps in Lebanon expressed thanks to Saudi Arabia for the care offered to them and other worshippers during Hajj.

Pilgrims returning to Shatila, Burj Al-Barajneh, Miyyah Miyyah, Ain Al-Hilweh, Rashidiya and the Bader River camps in Lebanon were welcomed with decorations, banners, confetti and songs that filled the public squares.

The pilgrims praised the Kingdom, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for its “goodness and leadership.”

Head of the delegation of Palestinian martyrs’ families Sheikh Iyad highlighted the care provided by the Kingdom during the performance of the rituals of Hajj.

High-level organization and technological innovations were major factors in the success of this year’s Hajj, he said.

This year, King Salman hosted 1,000 female and male pilgrims who were relatives of Palestinian martyrs.

The initiative was part of the King Salman Hajj and Umrah Program, supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.

The guests of this year’s program came from the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe.
