Hyderabad, March 25 (NSS): NSUI State president Balmuri Venkat today termed the disqualification of Congress party’s national leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha as act of shame for the BJP government at the Centre.
Addressing a gathering at a protest held by the party in Mahbubnagar under the leadership of DCC president G. Madhusudhan Reddy, the State NSUI president said the party leaders took out a funeral of democracy procession as part of their protest. Venkat said the day of the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi was a dark day in a democratic country like India. He said the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi was also a proof of arrogance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He criticised that Modi was using Parliament to carry out his heinous acts after misusing statutory bodies like the ED and the CBI to harass Opposition parties’ leaders.
The NSUI leader said it has become a fashion for the Modi government to harass the Opposition leaders. He called upon lovers of democracy to condemn the heinous act of Modi and his government and asked them to resist the cruel policies of the BJP. NSUI State incharge Akshay Galla, NSUI national convenor Dinesh Sagar, State secretaries Ramesh, Sekhar and Mahbubnagar district general Secretary Fahad also took part in the protest.
