India, May 17 (NSS): Lashing out at Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala, Telangana Congress leader A Revanth Reddy charged the latter with encouraging defections indirectly. There was a need to conduct a debate on the role of Governors in the States.
Finding fault with the Governor for not giving the appointment to Congress and JDS alliance, Revanth Reddy reminded that Goa governor gave an opportunity to BJP while denying the Congress party, which won highest seats, to form the government. He asked whether the governors didn’t give opportunity to the alliances formed after the elections in Manipur and Meghalaya. Former prime minister Vajpai and Adwani didn’t opt wrong routs though they have such opportunity. The then BJP was different from present BJP.
Prime minister Modi and BJP president Amith Shaw abusing the BJP values, he said. Revanth Reddy demanded the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who extended his support to JDS in the elections, to tell as to what JDS has to do now. The same will be repeated in the nation as to what happened in Karnataka.
