Hyderabad, Jan 30 (RAHNUMA): TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar found fault with the Tennis player Sania Mirza’s promotion to multi-level marketing (MLM) company ‘Qnet’.
Sajjanar asked her to refrain from supporting/promoting multi-level marketing companies which destroy the economy and social system of the country. On this occasion, he tweeted that he humbly requests all celebrities not to promote any unscrupulous or scamster groups. He said that it was very unfortunate that this happened in Hyderabad.
Last week, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted an investigation into allegations of money laundering and Hawala in Qnet. Direct selling companies of Qnet subsidiaries were also searched. Moreover, ED officials conducted searches in the cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai in connection with this case. Also, about Rs.90 crores have been frozen in 36 banks belonging to Qnet. The Qnet alleged frauds came to light likely in the year 2019.
