
GENEVA (Rahnuma): Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding in Geneva on Thursday with the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in support of the Palestinian people. The signing ceremony was attended by the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Wasel; UNCTAD’s Secretary-General Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi; and the head of its department of support for the Palestinian people, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Khafif.
Kituyi thanked the Kingdom for its support for the Palestinian people and its partnership with UNCTAD.
Al-Wasel reaffirmed the Saudi stance in support of the Palestinian people, and said their cause is a priority for the Kingdom. SPA Geneva
He lauded UNCTAD’s position toward the Palestinian people, and expressed hope for more cooperation between the two sides.
