
Hyderabad, Feb.7 (NSS): Minister for Finance T Harish Rao has informed that the self-respecting buildings of Yadava and Kuruma communities being constructed at Kokapet in the city will be inaugurated on March 10.
Ministers Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Gangula Kamalakar, MLCs Yegge Mallesham and Banda Prakash Mudiraj, BC welfare secretary Burra Venkatesham and other leaders inspected the ongoing construction works of Yadava and Kuruma buildings here on Tuesday and held a review meeting with officials concerned.
On the occasion, Minister Harish Rao directed the officials to complete all the works related to laying of new roads and water lines. When the proposal of constructing compound walls around both community buildings with an estimated cost of Rs.2.60 crores was brought to the notice of the Finance Minister, the latter announced that the amount would be sanctioned immediately and the proposed works should be completed in a stipulated period.
He said the State government was constructing the self-respecting buildings for 41 categories of BCs and for this purpose, 87 acres of most expensive land in Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts were allocated.
Harish Rao said the Yadava and Kuruma community buildings were the first ones that have been completed and are ready for the inauguration.
On the inaugural day of buildings, a huge public meeting will be organised with over one lakh community people, Harish Rao informed.
