Hyderabad, June 29 (NSS): Silk Mark Organization of India Initiated by Central Silk Board, Union Ministry of Textiles, Hyderabad chapter, organized a program to create awareness on the importance of quality and tradition of Indian Natural Silks at Jubilee Hills.
On the occasion, the Silk Mark Organization of India introduced Y. Sailaja Reddy, who is one of the winners of “Srimathi Silk Mark-2018, Hyderabad” as Silk Mark brand ambassador for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States to promote all varieties of Silk Cluster products. She has been already promoting Pochampally Handloom Weaving Cluster and working with Telangana State Handloom Department. Page3 Socialites, who graced the occasion, have congratulated the Sailaja Reddy.
Deputy Director, Central Silk Board Y. Srinivasa Rao said the Silk Mark Organisation, Hyderabad chapter, was conducting Silk Mark Expos every year and all varieties of Silks from different Silk weaving clusters in India and Beauty Pageant Srimathi Silk Mark.
It also proposes to conduct 6th grand edition of Srimathi Silk Mark and Silk Mark Expos in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, especially crafted and designed for Indian Culture and Traditional Values depicting the “Glimpses of Indian Silks spreading the awareness on Silk and also Educating Women to Identify Pure Silks and encourage to wear Indian traditional attire”, he added.
