Hyderabad, Jan.31 (NSS): Former MP and estranged leader of the ruling BRS party Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy today alleged he had been harassed by the ruling BRS party leaders had harassed me for the last seven and half years. He made it clear that power was not permanent for any political party. He made these remarks while addressing an atmiya Sammelanam of his supporters from Madira assembly constituency. The meeting was held at Bonakallu . Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the ruling party leaders targeted him by making allegations that he was responsible for the defeat of some of the BRS party candidates in some of the assembly constituencies of Khammam district in the 2018 assembly elections. He made it clear that that the BRS party candidates lost the elections due to their own faults and anti-incumbency factor. He claimed that he was denied the MP seat due to the same allegations. He alleged that the ruling party leaders imposed restrictions on him and told him that he should take the permission of the local party leaders whenever he wanted to visit anybody in khammam district or take part in any program. He alleged that the BRS party president and CM KCR also did not give him an opportunity to give his explanation over the allegations. He wondered if he has any need to continue in the ruling party by experiencing all kinds of insults.
