TD, YSRCP activists clash in Pedda Ogirala village

Vijayawada, Jan.11 (NSS): Activists of ruling TDP and the Opposition YSRCP clashed at Pedda Ogirala village under Uyyooru Mandal of Krishna District on Friday.

The incident took place after a heated arguments between former minister and YSRCP Krishna District president K.Parthasarathi and Machilipatnam MLA Bode Prasaad during a grama sabha held in the village as part of the ongoing Janmabhoomi-Maa Voorui program. When the YSRCP leader tried to take part in the grama sabha, TDP activists prevented him from doing so. This prompted the YSRCP leaders to  leave the place.

When the YSRCP leader tried to attend the meeting once again, the local police, who were already present at the spot, did not allow him and his supporters from entering the meeting area by stopping them on the national highway. On receiving the news about it, the MLA and his supporters also reached the national highway and started arguing with the YSRCP leaders. This has prompted the TDP leaders to attack the YSRCP leaders with stones. The stone pelting continued in the area for sometime. Sensing more trouble, the police dispersed the activists of both parties and dispersed them. (NSS)
