Hyderabad, March 22 (RAHNUMA): Journalist and YouTuber Theenmar Mallanna was arrested by the police on charges of assaulting a man named Sai Kiran. He was remanded for 14 days. Along with Mallanna, six others were remanded and shifted to Charlapally jail.
The police stated in the remand report that there were eight accused persons in this case. Six of them have already been arrested, while two others were absconding. A case has been registered against the Mallanna team in two incidents. Based on a complaint given by the SOT constable, the police registered a case against Mallanna’s team.
The police said in the remand report that the constables who were on duty were allegedly kidnapped and attacked. It is said that the policemen who were checking the vehicles at Peerzadiguda and Raghavendra Bhavan were stopped. It said that he was taken to the Q news office and attacked and the police were stopped while checking the vehicle for chain snatchers.
The report further stated that Mallanna demanded to know who and why he was checking the vehicles. The police accused Mallanna of having a fight with the police personnel when they asked him to show his ID card.
