Two Myamaris among four held for forging ID documents in city

Hyderabad, May 21 (NSS): The Balapur police have nabbed four persons, who were forging Indian passports with help of fabricated ID proofs like Aadhar card, Pan card and so on and producing the same to the Passport authorities to obtain passports.

 The accused identified as Syed Nayeem, Mohd Aqeel, Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Faisal of Myanmar residing in Balapur since 2015 were arrested on Sunday and produced before the court for judicial remand.

            The two agents were Syed Nayeem, a visa agent from Warasiguda and Mohammed Aqeel, a carpenter who was the prime suspect Nayeem’s accomplice. The four were arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Passport Act and the Foreigners Act. Police said Nayeem was a visa agent who was indulging in preparation of Indian passports by creating fake ID proofs like Aadhaar card, PAN card etc., along with his accomplice Aqeel, and producing the same to Passport authorities to obtain passports illegally.

Fayaz and Faisal had migrated here as refugees and had plans to claim Indian citizenship for they approached Nayeem to obtain the documents. Nayeem then created Aadhar cards by producing a fabricated rental deed. Once they got the Aadhar cards, Nayeem applied for passports on behalf of Fayaz and Faisal.

While the police seized one Indian passport, two Aadhar cards, one Voter ID card and a PAN card from Nayeem, similar fake documents were seized from Fayaz and Faisal too.

            The arrests were  made under the direct supervision of Mahesh M Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, with the guidance of M. Venkateshwar Rao, DCP, L.B. Nagar zone, Gandhinarayana, ACP, Vanasthalipuram Division by Inspector S. Mohan Reddy, Sub-Inspector Mohd Maqbool Jani and Balapur PS staff.
