VH demands hike in BC quota for all elections

Hyderabad, Dec.15 (NSS): Congress senior leader V. Hanumanth Rao on Saturday alleged that the TRS government was making attempts to suppress the BC community in the State.

Addressing mediapersons here today, VH demanded that the State government increase the BC reservations in the Panchayat Raj elections. He also asked the BC leaders from the TRS to raise their voice on the issue. He said he would soon hold a meeting of all BC welfare associations in the State on the issue. Noting that several votes of eligible voters have gone missing in the just-concluded Assembly elections, VH asked the State Election Commission to not repeat the same in the upcoming Panchayat Raj elections.
