Kurnool, May 27 (NSS): In a heart warming gesture today, YSRCP leaders Dr Sanjeev Kumar, MP from Kurnool along with Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Yemmiganur MLA K Chennakesava Reddy felicitated Suresh Babu, a 24-year-old mountaineer from Kurnool.
Praising Suresh for his talent and dedication that led him to scale seven summits and 25 mountains, including the Mt Everest, the party leaders felicitated him for his remarkable feat. Suresh Babu, who is an ardent follower of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy had recently made national headlines for having raised several posters of his ‘real life hero Jagan’ and his policies or ‘Navaratanalus’ atop every peak he scaled (the photos of which went viral on social media)
Less than 24 hours after. Suresh sought financial help and expressed his heartfelt desire to meet CM Jagan, YSRCP top leadership reached out to him immediately and rendered him the financial support he wanted to scale more mountains in the days to come. The leaders ensured complete assistance from the government to fulfil his dreams as a mountaineer. MP Sanjeev Kumar assured him recognition from the Central government too for his achievements.
Praising Suresh Babu, Yemmiganur MLA’s son Jagan Mohan Reddy said, ‘We are proud of him. What he has achieved is exemplary and worthy of recognition and appreciation. We will take care of all his financial problems and we will ensure that government provides him full support to achieve his dreams.’
The young boy, who credits his achievement to the Chief Minister has been advertising the schemes launched by the YSRCP government at the top of the highest mountains he had scaled. Being the first South Indian to scale Mt Manaslu & Mt Lhotse, he decided to raise a banner of nine navartanalus (nine welfare schemes) launched by CM Jagan at the top of the peak. (NSS)
